Think of boreinu.com as your membership office (where you manage billing and settings) and app.boreinu.com as your study room (where you study each day). Just bookmark app.boreinu.com and log in with the same email and password you used to sign up.

Do I need to download anything to get started?

No downloads required! The Boreinu Study App works in any web browser on your computer, phone, or tablet. Just visit app.boreinu.com and log in. If you purchase the PDF or MP3 add-ons, you can download those files for offline use from your Membership dashboard, but the base membership works entirely online through your browser.

What's the difference between the website and the Boreinu Study App?

The main website (boreinu.com) is where you sign up, manage your membership, and, if you get the PDF or MP3 add-ons, download those files. The Boreinu Study App (app.boreinu.com) is where you access your daily study content, stream audio, and track your progress. After signing up, you'll spend most of your time in the Boreinu Study App for your daily study.

How do I know what to study each day?

When you log into the Boreinu Study App, your daily content is ready and waiting for you. Each day includes sections from the weekly Torah portion, Prophets and Writings, Psalms, Gospel readings, Apostolic Scriptures, the Didache, Second Temple History, and Mussar teachings. Just follow along. We've organized everything for you in bite-sized, sections that take about five minutes or less.

Can I start any time or do I need to wait for a specific date?

Jump in anytime! While we follow a weekly Torah reading cycle (like synagogues worldwide), you can start on any day. Don't worry about "missing" anything. We're building a long-term habit, not racing through a program with a finish line. Our reading sections are cycles, so you'll study everything again.

How long does each day's study really take?

Each section is designed to take about five minutes or less to read. With eight different sections per day (Torah, Prophets, Psalms, Gospels, Apostolic Scriptures, Didache, Second Temple History, and Mussar), you can spend anywhere from five minutes (reading just one section) to about thirty minutes (reading all eight).

What makes this different from other reading plans?

Most reading plans are linear — fall behind, and you're stuck. Boreinu runs 8 independent cycles simultaneously, so every day is fresh regardless of where you are. The catch-up summaries mean there's no such thing as "falling behind." And the long-game design compounds understanding over a lifetime. No finish line, no guilt for missing days, no starting over. What if I'm not a "morning person"? When should I study?

What if I fall behind? How do I catch up?

Is there a community or accountability option?

Boreinu.com is where you sign up and manage your account (billing, subscription settings, etc.) and download content if you sign up for the PDF or MP3 Download Add-ons. Boreinu Study App (app.boreinu.com) is a separate web application designed specifically for daily study. It's where you access today's content, stream audio, track your progress, and view your study calendar. After joining, you'll use the Boreinu Study App daily and only visit boreinu.com occasionally for account management or PDF/MP3 downloads, if you signed up for those add-ons.

Can I access the Boreinu Study App on my phone?

Yes! The Boreinu Study App works on any device with an Internet connection and a modern web browser—phones, tablets, laptops, or desktop computers. Your progress syncs across all devices, so you can start reading on your phone during your commute and pick up where you left off on your computer at home.

Do I need an Internet connection to use the Boreinu Study App?

When will you have native iOS/Android apps?

We're working on native mobile apps for iOS and Android, but we don't have a release date yet. The good news? The web app works great on mobile browsers on any device. You can add it to your phone's home screen for quick access. We'll announce when the native apps launch!

Can I sync my progress across devices?

Why are PDFs and MP3s separate add-ons?

We designed it this way to keep the membership price affordable for everyone. Most members are happy with streaming audio and reading in the Boreinu Study App. But if you love to print materials, annotate or add notes to your study, or need offline audio for travel, the add-ons are there for you at $4.99/month each. It's about giving you choice and flexibility based on how you study best.

Can I try the add-ons during my free trial?

Yes! During your 7-day free trial, you can add PDF Downloads or MP3 Audio Downloads and try them risk-free. You won't be charged for anything until after your trial ends. This lets you test and decide which formats you prefer before committing.

Can I add or remove add-ons later?

Absolutely! Log into your account dashboard at boreinu.com/dashboard and go to Membership Management. You can add or remove PDF or MP3 add-ons anytime. Changes take effect on your next billing cycle. This flexibility means you can adjust based on changing needs. Maybe add PDFs during a season when you're journaling more, or add MP3s before a big trip.

What if I only want PDFs or only want audio?

Perfect! You can choose just the add-ons you want. Want PDFs for printing but don't need offline audio? Just add PDFs ($4.99/mo). Prefer downloadable MP3s but read in the app? Just add MP3s ($4.99/mo). Base membership + one add-on = $14.98/month. You're not required to get both.

Is there a discount for getting both add-ons?

Each add-on is already priced affordably at $4.99/month. Base membership plus both add-ons is $19.97/month total, giving you every format and maximum flexibility in how you study. We don't currently offer a bundle discount, but the value is substantial: a comprehensive Bible study with audio, reading, and printable formats for only $0.66/day.

Is this designed for Messianic Jews or Christians?

Both! Boreinu is intentionally designed to serve all disciples of Yeshua. We believe everyone is enriched by studying Scripture in its Jewish context while honoring faith in Yeshua. You'll find content that respects Jewish tradition and Messianic conviction, making it valuable whether you come from a Jewish background or a Christian one.

Is the content appropriate for someone from a Jewish background?

Yes! If you're from a Jewish background and believe in Yeshua as Messiah, Boreinu will feel like home. We respect Jewish tradition, follow the traditional Torah reading cycle, include Second Temple history, and incorporate Mussar (Jewish ethical teachings). Is this too Jewish for me as a Christian?

Not at all. Boreinu uses Hebrew terms like Yeshua and HASHEM to restore the Jewish context of your faith, a context that was always there. You don't need any prior knowledge. Do I need to know Hebrew?

Why is each section included in Boreinu daily study?

Weekly Parsha — At the time of Ezra and Nehemiah, the men of the great assembly instituted a yearly reading cycle through the Torah (the first five books of the Bible). Each week has a certain portion, which is read in the synagogue. This is called the Weekly Parsha. The idea behind this reading cycle was to ensure the entire Jewish community would hear all God commanded them to do and continue in their service to Him. We include the Weekly Parsha in Boreinu daily study to join with the Jewish community in Torah study each week and in imitation of Yeshua and the disciples, who would hear the weekly portion in the synagogue they visited each week.

Nach: Prophets and Writings — Nach is an acronym for Nevi'im and Ketuvim (Hebrew for Prophets and Writings). These are the remaining books found in the Hebrew Bible (and the rest of the "Old Testament" in Christian Bibles). Boreinu daily study has placed these books in a loose chronological order. We include Nach in our study materials to learn more about the story of the Jewish people, the foundations and history of God's promises to them, and to provide inspiration and a firm foundation for every believer's study of God's word.

Tehillim: Psalms — Tehillim is the Hebrew word for Psalms. Tehillim have been a source of comfort and heartfelt prayer to God for generations. We include Tehillim in Boreinu daily study to help you connect with and communicate to God each day through the power of Tehillim.

Gospel — The Gospels are the four accounts of the life and teachings of Yeshua. The hallmark of a disciple is to learn, memorize, and teach others their Rabbi's (Teacher's) teachings on God's word and how to live a life of service to Him. We include the Gospels in Boreinu daily study to help you fulfill your duty as a disciple and hope your consistent interactions with Yeshua's teachings will inspire you and shape your daily faith practice.

Apostolic Scriptures — The Apostolic Scriptures are the books and writings of the Apostles after Yeshua's ascension. These books are full of stories, teachings, and essential ways of discipleship. We include the Apostolic Scriptures in Boreinu daily study to bring forth the rich history of the early disciples and to help you shape your understanding of what it means to be a disciple, from the example of the original disciples of Yeshua.

Didache — The Didache is an early teaching of the disciples, possibly as early as the 1st century, which is an instruction manual of sorts for new non-Jewish disciples of Yeshua. It provides a crash course in monotheism, righteous living, and essential concepts from first-century Judaism. We include the Didache in Boreinu daily study to provide modern non-Jewish disciples of Yeshua with the essentials of mitzvot (commandments) which are required of non-Jews and the foundations of discipleship and community building.

Second Temple Period History — This section is made up of the works of Josephus, a Jewish historian of the first century. In his two works, Antiquities of the Jews and The Jewish War, he lays out the history of the Jewish people.

We have included a selection of his works which deals with the Second Temple Period because his historical account of the time of Yeshua and the disciples is essential to understanding the political and cultural background to the teachings and narrative of the Gospels and Apostolic Scriptures. Note: Josephus was a patron of the Roman government when he completed these works, so there is some glossing over of the harsher realities of Roman rule during this period.

Mussar — Mussar is the study of developing good character traits and has a long tradition in Judaism. We include a collection of classical Mussar texts in Boreinu daily study because Yeshua taught about developing good character traits often. It was a hallmark of his teachings and an essential aspect of being one of his disciples.

Note that not all of the Mussar teachings you read will be applicable to you, as some of the particulars of mitzvot (commandments) are geared towards the Jewish audience the works were originally written for. But the universal good character traits can be worked on by all disciples of Yeshua.

Why did you change God's holy name to HASHEM?

There are many ways to show respect and deference to God and His holiness. One of the easiest ways is to treat God's holy name — represented by the Hebrew letters yud, hey, vav, and hey — with extra respect and care. One way to honor God's holy name is to not say it aloud and to treat documents that have the name written out with extra care.

To help protect God's name, we use circumlocutions: ways to refer to God in place of His holy name. God, Father, and Heaven are all common examples of circumlocutions Yeshua and the Apostles used. In Jewish tradition, the Hebrew word HASHEM (HaShem), which literally means "The Name," is most often used in everyday references to God. We have chosen to follow this convention. So when you read HASHEM in Boreinu daily study, know it is in place of God's holy name. This is a small way of showing respect and honor to God.

Why did you change Jesus to Yeshua?

Yeshua is how you say the Messiah's name in Hebrew. We use Yeshua instead of Jesus to encourage his disciples to place him back in his Jewish context. It reminds us that he was Jewish and practiced Judaism. This small shift in context opens up so much understanding of his work and teachings that we feel it is important to encourage all of his disciples to consider these ideas.

Why did you change Christ to Messiah?

Christ has a very specific connotation nowadays and can often be read and glossed over. It is almost as if "Christ" is treated as a last name. To encourage the reader to stop and truly understand what the Apostles meant when they used Christ, we have chosen to render it as Messiah. Christ comes from the Greek word for Messiah, so they are interchangeable. In our materials, Christ becomes Messiah and Jesus Christ becomes Yeshua the Messiah.

Why are there not any verse numbers in the scripture sections?

We made the conscious decision to not include verse numbers because we wanted you to read the scriptures as a narrative, without the artificial breakup of the text that verse numbers create. We have included the chapter numbers so you have a rough reference point.

Why is the member's name included in the header of each PDF page?

Inevitably when you create a publication, especially one available in digital form, it gets copied or printed for use by others who didn't pay for a membership. As a gentle reminder that the content is member-supported, we include the member's name on each page in the header. If that isn't your name, you should head over to boreinu.com and start your own membership!

What Does Boreinu Mean?

Boreinu (בוראנו) means "Our Creator" in Hebrew. The name comes from the Didache, a first-century discipleship text that was circulating within the earliest community of disciples of Yeshua. In the Didache it reads: "You shall love the God who made you." Our connection with God and service to Him is rooted in the simple fact that He made us. We cultivate this connection through our study of God's word and in our imitation of Him.

Why do you repeat the same texts?

Boreinu is designed to make the learning stick and to cultivate connections between the texts you study. Repetition allows for continual exposure to the teachings, history, and wisdom of our daily study. Additionally, because each section has a different reading cycle length, you might be rereading the same text in one section while the other sections are entirely new, allowing you to make fresh connections each time.

It doesn't feel like I learn much each day with the sections being so short.

We designed Boreinu for the long game. We know how hard it is to create lasting study habits, it's the reason we created Boreinu. The truth is that sustained, short learning sessions will drive the depth of your study more than sporadic, longer sessions in the long run. You will be surprised at what you learn in a year, and even more surprised at how much you've learned in five years, ten years, and beyond. The compounding effect of daily study over a lifetime produces a depth of scriptural understanding that no crash course, retreat, or reading marathon can replicate.

How long is each study section's reading cycle?

• Weekly Parsha: Read the entire Torah once every year.
• Nach: Read the Prophets and Writings in about a year and a half.
• Tehillim: Read the entire book of Psalms every two and a half months.
• Gospel: Read all four Gospels every three months.
• Apostolic Scripture: Read the Apostolic Scriptures every six months.
• Didache: Read the Didache every sixteen days.
• Second Temple Period History: Read through Josephus' historical account in the span of about two years.
• Mussar: Read through the collection of Mussar texts about every eight months.

What if I miss a day?

Don't worry Boreinu has your back. Each section (besides Tehillim) includes a summary of the previous day's content. This not only jogs your memory day to day but also lets you maintain your study momentum if you miss a day. Don't sweat it. Nothing drains your study motivation like guilt from missing a day. Use the summaries to get caught up and jump right back in.

How do I access the daily audio narration?

The Boreinu Membership comes with daily audio narration that you can stream directly in the Boreinu Study App (app.boreinu.com). If you've purchased the MP3 Download Add-on, you can access your MP3 files for download from your member dashboard (boreinu.com/dashboard).

How long are the daily audio narrations?

Daily audio files are typically about 30 minutes, matching our philosophy of bite-sized, manageable study sessions. The exact length depends on the amount of content for that particular day.

Is the audio narration the same as what's in the daily readings?

Yes, the audio narration covers the same daily study material found in your daily readings. This allows you to choose your preferred learning style or switch between reading and listening based on your schedule.
